Mont'Kiara International School admits learners at the early childhood level, from where the students go to elementary school level, then Middle School and High School. Its curriculum in all of these levels adheres to the International Baccalaureate standards to produce internationally-minded and graded students. However, the school also integrates other aspects such as co-curricular activities.
With an online application process, this international school is already accepting applications for all grade levels starting with PreK Age 3 to Grade 12. It received a IB Primary Years Program authorization last year and started offering IB Diploma in 2000. It is in the process of receiving the IB Middle Years Program authorization.

The M’KIS early childhood prepares pre-Kindergarteners to become life-long learners. The program promotes the 10 IB Learner Profiles of the Primary Years Program (PYP). The Early Childhood Division admits pupils of age 3 to 4 years or PreK 3 and PreK 4. In addition to educational excellence, it also incorporates social-emotional, physical and cognitive development. Learning at this stage seeks to promote play, discovery and exploration while stressing on independence and autonomy.
The Elementary school level also adheres to the PYP curriculum. The IB Primary Years Curriculum is recognized as an international primary curriculum to prepare them to participate in the IB Middle Years Program or MYP, and the subsequent Diploma Program or DP. It seeks to produce learners who are internationally-minded, inquisitive, balanced, knowledgeable, principled, open-minded, reflective, risk-takers, communicators, and thinkers, among other things. These are the ten or among the ten Learner Profile attributes. The framework has five essential elements of knowledge, concepts, skills, attitude, and action.
As stated, the Middle School at the Mont'Kiara International School follows the IB MYP curriculum. It admits Grades 6 to 8, which has learners who are only starting to know themselves.
The MYP has active Student Council, Helping Hands service club, and Model United Nations programs. Students learn to make many choices for and on their own. They are trained on individuality. Students undertake core subjects such as Maths, English, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. The program uses the Common Core State Standards, cultivates reading, writing, speaking and listening. The school uses the Next Generation Science Standards for its science education.
At High School, the school offers the IB Diploma and the U.S. High School diploma certifications. Students specialize in different subjects including business, law, science, arts, and research, among other selections.

The International School in Malaysia charges an application fee of RM 1,500, English proficiency assessment test of 1,200, and a registration fee of between RM 3,500 in PreK Age 3 and RM 27,000 in High School or Grade 11 – 12. The enrolment fee is 2,000 per year while tuition fee varies from RM 24,205 per term at the PreK Age 3 to RM 55,414 at the High School or Grade 9 – 12.
Other additional fee include EAL support fee.
