Thai-Japanese Association School, Bangkok is a widely recognized Japanese school in Thailand. It precedes the Itamiya Japanese Elementary School of Taisho, founded in 1926, which is believed to be the oldest Japanese school in the world. In July 1974, the Thai government granted Thai-Japanese Association School to operate as an international school.
The school caters to Japanese national students whose families reside in Thailand. Considered to be one of the biggest Japanese schools outside of Japan, Thai-Japanese Association School currently has 2,500 students attending Junior and Primary grade levels and over 220 teachers and staff. The school curriculum follows that of the Japanese education system.
